Avant de vous montrer la bande-annonce, voici le livre!  Un aperçu de mon nouveau livre intitulé "Virginia Wolf", de l'auteur Kyo Maclear - à paraître en avril 2012 chez Kids Can Press (et en français aux éditions de La Pastèque).   J'ai reçu cette copie en avance... juste à temps pour Noël!

Before I'm able to show you the trailer, here's the book!  Some images of my new book, "Virginia Wolf", written by Kyo Maclear and published at Kids Can Press.  It will be out in April 2012.  I just received this advance copy this week... right on time for Christmas!

Quelques images tirées d'une petite bande-annonce sur laquelle je travaille présentement avec Kyo Maclear (Fourchon) pour promouvoir la sortie de notre prochaine collaboration.  Virginia Wolf paraîtra en avril 2012 chez Kids Can Press et sa traduction française sera publiée au même moment, aux éditions de La Pastèque.  

Some images from a trailer Kyo Maclear ("Spork") and I are working on for the release of our new book together, to be published at Kids Can Press.  "Virginia Wolf" will be available in April 2012 and the French translation will come out simultaneously at La Pastèque.

Collectif 2011

Illustration Québec vient de publier son Collectif 2011 et c'est une de mes illustrations qui est en couverture. Collectif 2011 est une publication visant à faire la promotion du travail des membres de l'association Illustration Québec.  Pour ma part, j'ai voulu représenter l'idée d'un regroupement et aussi la diversité de styles présente à travers cette association.  Le graphisme, quant à lui, a été conçu par l'Atelier NAC.

Illustration Quebec has just released its "2011 Collective" and one of my illustrations is on the cover.  "2011 Collective" is a publication dedicated at promoting the work of Illustration Quebec's members.  For my part, I wanted to represent the idea of a collectivity and also the diversity of styles of these illustrators.  The book was designed by Atelier NAC.

"Migrant" in the New York Times !

 Le New York Times a fait connaître aujourd'hui sa liste des 10 meilleurs livres pour enfants de l'année 2011 et "Migrant" en fait partie!  Une critique et des images tirées des livres sélectionnés paraîtront dans un cahier spécial de la section "Book Review" le 13 novembre prochain.  

The New York Times Book Review has announced its list of the 10 Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2011 and "Migrant", is among them!  A review and artwork from the books selected will feature in a special Children’s Book section of the Book Review’s November 13 issue.  

 “ Migrant ,” is written by Maxine Trottier and published at Groundwood Books.

Quand j'étais chien

Un beau livre paru dernièrement aux Éditions La Courte Échelle.  Une histoire touchante écrite par Louise Bombardier et illustrée par Katty Maurey.  Belle qualité de production - ça vaut la peine de le souligner.

A very nice book recently published by Éditions La Courte Échelle.  Touching story written by Louise Bombardier and illustrated by Katty Maurey.  Good quality of production - it's worth to mention.

"Migrant", de Maxine Trottier, que j'ai illustré aux éditions Groodwood books, est parmi les finalistes pour les Prix Littéraires du Gouverneur Général 2011!   Les lauréats seront annoncés le 15 novembre.

"Migrant" by Maxine Trottier, which I illustrated at Groodwood books, is among the Finalists for the Governor General's Literary Awards 2011 !  Winners will be announced November 15.

New studio

Un petit aperçu de mon nouvel atelier.  Grandes fenêtres, beaux plafonds.  On commence tranquillement à se sentir chez soi.  

Just a glimpse of what my new studio looks like.  Love the ceiling and large windows.  It slowly begins to feel like home.

World Trade Angels

Je déménage présentement mon atelier (photos à suivre!) et en remplissant mes cartons cette semaine, je suis tombée sur ce livre, que je n'ai pu m'empêcher de relire...  Vision par deux auteurs talentueux de l'événement qui, il y a 10 ans, a changé la face du monde.  Récit post-tramatique d'une grande sensibilité écrit par Fabrice Collin et illustré par Laurent Cilluffo.  Publié en 2006 aux Éditions Denoël.    

I'm currently moving my studio (pictures coming soon!)  and while packing boxes this week, I came across this book that I couldn't help but read it again...  Vision on the event that changed the face of the world, 10 years ago, by two talented story tellers.  A sensitive post-tramatique story, written by Fabrice Collin and illustrated by Laurent Cillufo, that was published in 2006 by Denoël graphic. Unfortunatly, no English version available yet...
